Depart Johannesburg on your flight to Kilimanjaro, overnight on the outskirts of the bustling town of Arusha - the launch pad for Tanzania's famous northern circuit.
Day 2
Arusha / Lake Manyara (AI)
After breakfast take a 20 minute air transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, situated on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara, tinged pink with countless flamingoes, is home to the remarkable tree-climbing lions, which drape themselves over branches of umbrella-shaped thorn tree
Day 3
Lake Manyara / Ngoron Crater (AI)
This morning depart from Lake Manyara on a 5hr road transfer to the Ngorongoro National Park, with a game drive en-route. The Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacular World Heritage Site - the largest caldera on earth. Enjoy the view from the crater rim, an awesome 500 metres above the crater floor, a densely inhabited wildlife sanctuary.
Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater (AI)
After an early breakfast descend to the crater floor for a full day game viewing and a superb picnic lunch. Return to the Lodge for dinner.
Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater / Serengeti (AI)
Enjoy a morning game drive on your way to the airstrip, in time for your departure to the Serengeti National Park, which takes an hour. The Park is world renowned for its annual wildebeest migration (Aug-Nov), a truly spec-tacular display of strength and courage in the animal kingdom.
Day 6
Serengeti (AI)
Set out as the sun rises for your early morning game drive. Witness the African bush awaken- ing to a new day as the early morning mist lifts above the endless plains. View the diversity of game in this fragile eco-system.
Day 7
Serengeti / Arusha (B/D)
Depart this morning from the Serengeti on your 2hr flight to Arusha. Afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy your selected hotel.
Day 8
Arusha / Kilimanjaro / Johannesburg / Home (B)
Transfer very early, this morning to Kilimanjaro for your flight back to Johannesburg, after bidding farewell to Tanzania - the Africa of your wildest dreams.
